He’s perfect in Stampede and 98 and picking between the two is like asking to pick a favorite child… Stampede Vash has such a wonderful woobiness to him like a wet dog stuck out in the rain and 98 Vash is a 20yo chihuahua that is half-blind and has skin diseases but he’s an UTTERLY CAPTIVATING gremlin. Dub Vash really sealed the deal for me… he’s chaotic and goofy and there’s so much pain and love under that happy face he puts on for everyone T-T
As for shipping... I absolutely can not choose between Nai and Wolfwood so I think he deserves both. He and he alone can fix Knives and Wolfwood is his emotional support cock to ride into the sunset at the end of the day.

Yes! This humanoid typhoon can fit so much gender. He is very transgender to me; I'm not partial to plant-based genitalia, though it's not an absolute deal-breaker in whether I enjoy a fic or art. While Vash is a love sponge who I believe will accept just about any affection he's offered, love is obviously communicated differently depending on who is giving and receiving. For platonic friends, he would favor receiving quality time and acts of service, while he gives words of affirmation and quality time most easily. For those he feels romantically inclined to, the former still applies, with the big addition of physical touch, physical touch, physical touch. Nai is his first, in every universe. In canon, it just... makes sense, considering they're isolated, pubescent, and Nai already has a fixation on his brother. Of course they're going to explore each others' bodies. 98 Vash doesn't get much else aside from Wolfwood and his brother, but I think Stampede Vash and Vash in alternate universes have a penchant for sleeping around before meeting Wolfwood. He's the type to keep his true feelings close to his chest, so his flings are often just that, running off at the first sign that his partner might want to get more serious. They are perfect for each other in every conceivable way, though the canon does change their dynamic a LOT. 98 Vashwood are both silly and irreverent, they keep their real emotions "well" hidden (debatable; they might just be oblivious to the other), and they're diametrically opposed in values. Wolfwood clocks Vash's whole deal from the first moment they meet. That, combined with Wolfwood's battle proficiency allows Vash to open up... if just slightly at first.Plantwood
Where 98 Wolfwood is often the one seeing through Vash, it's the reverse in Stampede! Stampede Vash truly sees Wolfwood and shows empathy when he's in a place that he desperately needs it. His soft "Wolfwood..." on the Sand Steamer says it all. I think it's lovely that they get to take turns identifying the pain in the other person in 98 Trigun and Stampede!
They both love Vash... so... much. Nai doesn't want to share, especially since he views it as a matter of him being in Vash's life first, but assuming this is an alternate universe or post-canon where he's not a genocidal freak, he'll get over it. At first he and Wolfwood are like cats that you have to introduce through the bathroom door or they'll immediately start hissing and spitting. Vash has persistence though, and it's specifically because of him that they entertain the idea at the beginning. Once they get along, he wishes he'd never introduced the pair, since BOTH of them are prone to being the straight man to his antics. He accidentally ended up with two hot babysitters. Woops.
